The villa is situated in the picturesque bay surrounded by woods on the north-west side of the island Krk, 2km walking distance from the village of Njivice. History
The village of Njivice was mentioned for the first time in the 15th century although the remains of walls of Roman origin testify that the settlement is much older. In the vicinity of Njivice is a Roman chapel and ruins of the early Christian church from the 5th century.

Also in the proximity of the chapel stands the large Roman necropolis with rich grave finds. The site of the necropolis and the findings of ancient inscriptions leads to the assumption that the Roman town called Fulfinium was located here, and was originated at the time of the collapse of the Roman Empire in the first century. In some places walls, over 1 metre high, still exist today.
