What you need to know if travelling to Croatia by vehicle
Travel documents: Passport or some other identity document recognised through international agreement which proves the identity and citizenship of the bearer.
Speed limits: In populated areas 50km/h. Outside populated areas 90km/h. Highways 130km/h.
Lights: Lights must be on day or night (from 0-24h).
Mobile phones: While driving the usage of mobile phones is forbidden.
Allowed amount of alcohol in blood while driving: 0,0 promils!
Usage of safety belt: Is a must.
Petrol stations: Open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. every day; in the summer season, until 10 p.m. On duty petrol stations in the larger cities and on main international routes are open 24 hours a day.

What to do in case of vehicle accident: Immediately notice the police about the car accident by calling this emergency numbers: 92 - police, 93 - fire brigade or 94 -ambulance. Secure the place of accident and place a warning triangle at least 30m away from the place of accident. Wait for the arrival of police.
They will explain you the procedures and local laws considering car insurance. In case of vehicle damage, you must ask the police to provide you with a confirmation about the damage, without which you can not pass the border.
